I purchased your e-book from Amazon -it has been so helpful!!
I'm still having one problem that I can't find an answer for in the book. I was wondering if you (queen of the Roman shade!) could help me?
Is there a trick to sewing the two (out of four total) inner rows of ring tape on straight? I'm dealing with 3 yards of fabric and lining. The outer rows were easy, but the the fabric is buching up next to the machine for the inner rows and the resulting crooked sewn line looks terrible! Is there a special foot attachment or anything to make this easier? Also, is there a way to ensure the rings line up?
Obviously, I don't know what I'm doing! Thank you for any advice you can offer...I truly appreciate it.
The trick is careful planning and patience. What you're going through is exactly why I don't like to use roman shade tape. But it does have its benefits.
When sewing the roman shade tape, make sure your stitch is set to an extra long stitch length. This will help with the bunching.
Before you begin to sew, make sure you have your tape pinned exactly where you want it. Over pin if you're a beginner at this. Lay your shade out and use a straight edge to make sure your rings are aligned properly.
